With a wide variety of hot dishes, fresh selections, and family-friendly options, Bon International Food is perfect for gatherings, casual dining, and food lovers looking for variety and value.

Located at 8338 W Sam Houston Pkwy S Ste 168, Houston, TX 77072, Bon International Food operates as a korean bbq serving Houston in Texas. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as hot pot restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Went this past Sunday Thought there would be a line out the door from the videos on IG but surprisingly it was packed but not super packed we were seated right away. The waiter immediately explained how everything worked and we got to ordering. They have a lot of stuff on the menu u can order and cook at your table from, shrimp, steak, pork, beef, sausages, and a lot of other stuff as well. U can also order the hot pot I believe that’s what it’s called but it’s the noodles with your choice of broth seafood or beef and spicy or non spicy. We selected some of everything. They also have a buffet as well although it’s limited but u can get fried rice, and different kinds of meat. They have a fruit and dessert bar. They also have a Mexican station where they make fresh tacos right in front of you and also quesabirria and quesadillas. They have did kinds of salsas and nachos. Different kinds of Mexican drinks as well. They have a hibachi area also but it wasn’t open when we went. Think all of this for just $19.99 plus drink can’t beat that. Atmosphere was good, food was fresh and delicious although I will pass next time on some of the options lol but overall a good place for a family out

This was, unfortunately, the most disappointing Korean BBQ experience we have had in Houston. Upon arrival, the table surface was sticky, suggesting it had not been properly cleaned. The grill was in particularly poor condition, with a heavy buildup of residue and burnt material that made it difficult to use. After requesting a replacement, another grill was provided, but it was in even worse condition. Additionally, the grills were not greased, which caused the food to burn quickly and produce excessive smoke. The ventilation system also appeared to be off; when we inquired, we were initially told it was on, but it was only activated after we raised the issue again. The menu selection was already limited, and approximately half of the items we ordered never arrived. Our server was largely unavailable, making it difficult to address missing dishes. Of the items that were served, the galbi was the only standout. The hangjungsal consisted primarily of fat with minimal meat, the bulgogi was acceptable in flavor but overly chewy, and the nubiani was extremely tough. The miso shrimp had an unpleasant, mushy texture, with the shell adhering to the meat. There is also a restriction of o

The food is really good with lots of options. Everything is clean, the vibe is nice, and the service is great. The staff are super friendly and always checking in to make sure you’re good. I’ll definitely be back!

The meats were delicious especially the spicy beef and pork bulgogi. The galbi was delicious too. They even have a buffet line too with hot and cold items such as kimchi, gimbap, fried chicken, and other banchan. However, many of the hot items were room temp/lukewarm, which was not great but it still tasted fine. Overall, I think it's better to come during a busier time like weekend dinner instead of mid-week dinner since food is less likely to sit out during busier periods.
